About Dr. Sanaz Vahid, DDS, MS
Dr. Sanaz Vahid is a compassionate and highly trained periodontist with an extensive background in implant dentistry.
A second-generation dentist, Dr. Vahid followed in her father’s footsteps in the field of dentistry. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 2014.
After dental school, Dr. Vahid completed Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. Her passion for higher learning led her to pursue periodontics and implant surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2018.
Dr. Vahid is the founder and president of Women of the World of Dentistry and is highly active in the Washington, D.C. dental community. She has authored and co-authored publications, including studies on the relationship of PCOS and periodontal disease and sleep apnea and periodontal disease.
She has been a member of the American Board of Periodontology since 2015. Growing up in the Washington, D.C. area, Dr. Vahid is humbled to return to the area and give back to the community. In her free time, she loves to travel and spend time with loved ones.
