About Dr. Nitika Mittal, DDS, MSD

Dr. Nitika Mittal is the lead orthodontist and owner of One Smile Orthodontics, where she builds long-lasting relationships with patients while delivering specialized, personalized orthodontic care.

Born and raised in Springfield, Dr. Mittal graduated as valedictorian from Hayfield Secondary School. She earned dual degrees in Biology and Sociology from the University of Virginia, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia/VCU Dental.

While in dental school, Dr. Mittal was active in student leadership through ASDA, served as president of her dental fraternity, and volunteered with Mission of Mercy projects in underserved areas of Virginia. She completed her specialty training in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree at Indiana University, where her research was published in The Angle Orthodontist.

After serving communities in Reston, Manassas, Woodbridge, and Fredericksburg, Dr. Mittal is proud to care for the Springfield community that fostered her growth. She and her husband, a U.S. Marine Corps Reservist, have two young daughters.
