About Dr. William R. Adams III

Dr. William R. Adams III is a general dentist committed to clinical excellence, ethical standards, and comprehensive family and cosmetic care.

Dr. Adams is a native of New Bern, North Carolina, and resides in Hanover County, Virginia. He earned his Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University and continued graduate work in Molecular Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He graduated with honors from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry and completed a general practice residency at the Medical College of Virginia and Hunter McGuire Veterans Hospital. During his two-year residency, he received advanced training in oral implantology, surgical periodontics, oral surgery, and full-mouth rehabilitation, and became certified in IV conscious sedation.

Dr. Adams believes excellent dentistry requires ongoing education and a commitment to strong ethical standards. He helps ensure that the doctors and staff at Grove Avenue Family & Cosmetic Dentistry continue their education and apply best-practice procedures for effective, patient-focused care.

He enjoys getting to know his patients and is honored by their trust. Outside the office, Dr. Adams spends time with his wife, Dr. Courtney Adams, their four children, and enjoys biking and boating.
