About Dr. Rishita Jaju, DMD

Known to patients as Dr. Rishita, Dr. Jaju is a TedX speaker, Harvard-trained dentist, mommy dentist, board certified pediatric dentist, and laser frenectomy expert and educator.

Dr. Rishita Jaju completed her advanced dental degree at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. She went on to complete her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, where she was appointed Chief Resident.

She is one of the only pediatric dentists in the Mid-Atlantic region to achieve Advanced Laser Proficiency Certification from the Academy of Laser Dentistry as well as Breastfeeding Specialist Certification.

Dr. Rishita gives back to her profession and patient community. She serves on the Council of Clinical Affairs for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Examination Committee of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Each year, Smile Wonders participates in the Give Kids a Smile initiative by the American Dental Association to provide free care for children in Northern Virginia.

At home, Dr. Rishita and her husband love spending time with their active child and their two Maltese dogs, Kaju and Kulfi. She also enjoys traveling around the world and has visited every continent except Antarctica.
